It is possible for a malicious user to shut down a computer browser, or all computer browsers, on the same subnet. In case all of the computers on the same subnet are shut down, then they are able to declare their own computer the new master browser.

• Download and install the patch that is below for your operating system:

• Open your registry. Find the key below.

• Create a new DWORD value. It is called "RefuseReset". Then set it to "1" to ignore the ResetBrowser frames request.

• Restart Windows to enable the modification.
