Why Virus Writers Do What They Do!

While we are living our daily lives, there is a virus writer out there who is busy writing a virus. The amounts of viruses that are infecting systems are reaching alarming numbers. There are different types of virus writers, each who have their own set of skills and goals. Some virus writers start out as teenagers writing a small code and then move onto bigger projects. One of the most concerning aspects pertaining to viruses for the general public is that there are many benefits and reasons to write viruses.

Organized cyber crime is a common reason to write a virus. One of the most dangerous types of virus writers is the type that has turned professional. These virus writers go to extreme lengths to achieve their goals and plan their moves very carefully. They are able to commit huge cybercrime and cause vast chaos online. These organized cyber criminals usually reach the media in one way or another and receive recognition for their work.Virus_writes_are_good_at_what_they_do..jpg

It is very common in today's world for virus writers to create specific botnets. According to Wikipedia a botnet can be described as: "Botnet is a jargon term for a collection of software robots, or bots, that run autonomously and automatically. The term is often associated with malicious software but it can also refer to the network of computers using distributed computing software." Some virus writers proceed to use spamming platforms, where a specific Trojan proxy server will literally penetrate the user's machine. There are vast amounts of infected machines and virus writers that will then sell these networks to the highest bidder. This basically results in an extremely high profit gain for these virus writers.

If a virus that they write reaches the media and receives a lot of attention, this will make them look good. If people who are fascinated with computer security start writing about the viruses that they have wrote then they will gain a real sense of pride. The main objective of virus writers is to gain recognition and respect amongst the underground community and sometimes the media. Some virus writers will stop at nothing in order to achieve their goals.

Many virus writers out there specifically go out of their way to target antivirus software. They may create a virus with the intentions of going against a specific type of antivirus software. They do this for various reasons, one of which is that if a virus writer is able to go against a top antivirus program then this makes them feel extremely powerful. These virus writers will do what they can in order to find vulnerability in an antivirus program. They will stop at nothing to achieve their goal and target the antivirus software of their choice so that they may spread their creation onto a number of computers. Virus writers need to be stopped and the general online public needs to do what they can in order to protect themselves against these malicious virus writers.

If i catch a virus writer I'm gonna give him/her something unpleasant. Namely two or three hollowpoints from my 45 auto in the ass.

If I happen to catch a virus writer (aka leftist, girlfriendless technophile) should I give him to the Mexican drug cartels or the guy from Saw?
