Sarah Palin's Email Hacker To Appear In Court

We all remember what happened last year with regard to Sarah Palin's email account. The world watched in astonishment when her email account got hacked. Sarah Palins Yahoo email account was hacked and specific screen captures were posted on the wikileaks.org site. This caused a huge scandal and the Sarah Palin hacking case was all over the news at the time. The media was having a field day with Sarah Palin and to make matters worse the male who allegedly was the cause of all of this was discovered to be a young male.

David Kernell, who is said to be the Sarah Palin email hacker, was studying at the University of Tennessee, as an Economics major. It is interesting to know who David Kernell's father is. David is the son of the state Rep Mike Kernell. Mike Kernell is chairman of Tennessee's House Government Operations committee as well as a Memphis Democrat. The F.B.I. and secret service launched a huge joint investigation last year with the intention of finding out exactly what was what, in this hacking case.

It is wonderful to know that the truth may soon be discovered. This Monday the ninth of March a specific federal judge scheduled a hearing for the twenty year old email hacker boy. If he is found guilty and convicted he will face some very harsh ramifications. David is looking at facing a maximum time period of a full five years in jail. He also faces paying a fine of up to $250,000 as well as a full three year probation period.

David actually pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. So it will be fascinating to see what happens this time around.

Wikileaks.org, as you may have remembered, is a website where you can post stuff completely anonymously. The stuff posted on the site is leaked government and corporate documents. This site played a huge part in the Sarah Palin email case. Computer security experts were trying really hard to reach the bottom of the case from a computer security perspective.

Only time will tell what happens to David Kernell. He may be found guilty or not guilty, it could swing either way. It will be extremely fascinating to see what he says when it reaches his time in court. If he does land in jail and is found guilty, this may help to stop other hackers from causing chaos online.
