When an extreme sniper shot is made by the player, the playing view shows you the bullet being shot in slow motion, all while the camera rotates near the bullet. It also has realistic looking ballistics as one of the best features of the game. Unfortunately, players attempting to shoot and destroy in the game is not the only lethal aspect of Sniper Elite. It was found that malicious attackers are also into destroying, except instead of them being game characters they are real life people attempting to shoot down and destroy your machine.

Sniper Elite was recently found with a fault that can be exploited by attackers, leading to a dangerous Denial of Service attack taking place. The fundamental problem with this vulnerability is that it may cause an entire server to crash. Even though this game was released at the end of 2005, it is still popular and it has also made provisions for advancements in operating systems. The minimum system requirements for Sniper Elite include: Windows ME, 2000, XP as well as 98. Some of the files of Windows 98 include: f3audio.inf, f3api32.dll as well as HORROR.SCR.

Successful exploitation can be achieved through certain null pointers. This happens with regard to certain types of packers which are either not complete or have invalid data. These packets include the following types: 0x1d, 0x1e, 0x6f, 0x86, 0x87 and 0x88. You can always take the necessary precautions by restricting game access to only trusted users at all times, no matter what the circumstances.
