The debate continues as to if it is moral to download music and movies? Some people argue that if you make a movie you spend lots of time, effort and money doing so and people simply getting it for free is not ethical. Others argue that if it is freely available why pay for it, what difference is downloading one movie going to make to the rich Hollywood movie makers. The same debate takes place for music, some musicians have a rule that they won't download any music; instead they will rather go buy the original. There reasoning is that if they make it big one day, they would hope people would pay for their material as opposed to simply finding it online and downloading it. It does not matter which side of this debate you fall under, but what does matter is that there are some peer-to-peer file sharing clients that will install malicious things onto your machine. I am here today to tell you that Torrent101 is something that you definitely don't want shared with you. What exactly does Torrent101 do? Torrent101 is a very dangerous and sneaky peer-to-peer file sharing client. It is malicious and will install large amounts of malware onto your machine. You will receive vast amounts of annoying pop-up messages which will start driving you mad after a while, that much I can guarantee you of. This is not the only damage that Torrent101 causes your computer, yes there is more. Torrent101 also runs the risk of hijacking your browser if you are making use of Internet Explorer. It will attempt to hijack your Internet Explorer home pages and searches. Torrent101 is also closely related to Bitroll. Any computer user's natural reaction would be to uninstall the malicious program immediately, getting rid of all the malware and irritating pop-ups that keep on randomly popping up. The bad news is that the pop-up messages will keep popping up, even after you have taken the time uninstall it. Torrent101 may cause your machines performance to be much slower than usual and you can also expect your reliable computer to become completely unstable.
Table 1. Alias names of Torrent101 How do you remove Torrent101 from your machine? I am sure that this is a question that you are all wondering. You need to choose between a manual removal or an automatic removal. An automatic removal may be done with a spyware detecting and removal product. It will scan your machine and detect any infections, in this case it will be Torrent101. It will then give you the option to remove it from your machine and it will remove it automatically for you. You may then proceed to restart your machine and it should be gone. The other option is doing a manual removal, but please be aware that if this is your choice, consider backing up your data as it is highly likely that you could make a mistake which could damage your machine. Manual Torrent101 removal process:
You will then need to use Windows Task Manager to detect the Torrent101 Processes.
You will need to use the registry editor in order to remove some Torrent101 Registry entries.
You will need to detect as well as delete other related Torrent101 Files.
Let me get a little more technical now, Torrent101 is associated with a number of files, with the inclusion of:Torrent101-3.2.0.0-setup-0597[1].exe and Torrent101.exe. It has been noted that these files come with the following MD5 signatures:b6d42e74f0e2a97582029d3c4fe26827 and db7c7542e63b6bce94113d2da4c39447. I sincerely hope that this works out for you and that Torrent101 is not something that is shared with you. |
