Well, the family of WiniSoft (also known as WiniGuard) is not going to leave us. This week we have already warned you against its two members - BlockProtector and SystemVeteran. But that's not all! Today I'd like to warn you against the most recent creation of WiniSoft developers and it is called AntiAID. It's important to note that the hackers have changed the graphical interface of the application (take a look at the screenshot provided below); however, the program acts in the same manner as its earlier clones, including SystemFighter, BlockKeeper, BlockWatcher, ShieldSafeness, Trust Cop and many others. Image 1. AntiAID layout AntiAID (sometimes called Anti AID) manages to sneak into a victim's system through malicious pop-ups, banners or fake video codec updates. All this is done with the help of Trojan applications and, of course, without user's knowledge and consent. The program can also be downloaded from their website a n t i a i d . c o m. Upon installation, AntiAID creates fake files that are later detected as infections. Once on the system, it will perform a scan of your computer system and immediately start displaying fake warning messages that your system is infected with hundreds of parasites. All you have to do now is buy the full version of the program. However, don't get trapped because AnitAID can neither detect, nor remove any viruses from the infected system. The only aim of the developers of this rogue is to steal your money! Therefore, stay alert and keep an eye out for my next article with more screenshots and technical information on AntiAID. |
