A new day brings new threats to the world of the Internet. This time it's the same creators who took the trouble to infect computers with a rogueware, Privacy Center. Their latest fake product is called Control Center. Do not ever trust this name - Control Center might start controlling your personal computer. The malicious application is created on the basis of backdoor Trojans which sneak into your machine without you being unaware of that. While browsing the Internet, take extreme caution because the malicious software sneaks when you are visiting unreliable sites. Another way to get the infection is a fake security site or fake multi-media websites which show videos online when you download certain codecs. However, these video codecs are nothing more than just viruses. Although Control Center uses some details from the Microsoft design in order to get trust and look more legitimate, it also employs fake alerts, such as "Database update error!" and "License error!" in order to scare people, and make you believe that the only way for the viruses to be removed is pay money and purchase the software. Image 1. Control Center Fake Scan My advice is do not trust Control Center. Do not believe that it might be helpful for you in any way. This is just a maliciuos product designed to laugh at you and steal your money. Control Center has never been and will never be able to aid you in detecting or removing real viruses from your PC. |
