Ave.exe File Dodging Behind a Long List of Roguewares

 

During this week, the World Wide Web has been attacked by many new roguewares which all seemed to be very similar. That‘s no surprise at all - all of them came from the same installation file, ave.exe.

According to our database, ave.exe is a dangerous files. It comes with the MD5 signature 5e9c6be7a0f2721a39a52800bf720b02 and is of 202240 bytes (or 197.5 KB) size. Out of 42 reports even 35 of them detected the file as a threat. 

Which roguewares come from ave.exe file? Don‘t be surprised, there is an entire list of them. Take a look at the table below:

Keep in mind that each rogueware is installed on different version of Windows. In case you use Windows XP, you might become one of the victims of the fake applications from the list. Of course, I hope this is not going to happen.

Remember that ave.exe is just another variant of av.exe which has been attacking computer users for a long time last year. In order not to get into trouble, be sure your antivirus software is updated and you are familiar with the websites you are visiting.
