The function of this setting is to control if the Favorites folder is displayed on the Start Menu.
Take the following steps introduced below:

• Open your registry;
• Find the key included below;
• Either create a new DWORDvalue, or modify the existing value, which is named "StartMenuFavorites";
• Modify the value to equal '1' to enable Favorites or '0' to disable them;
• Exit your registry;
• Log off for the changes to be visible.
