Using the Address Bar to Launch Programs or Web Pages from the Taskbar

Windows XP Professional has a feature that enables you to add the Address Bar to the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop. You can use the Address Bar to open anything that can be opened with the [Start] [Run] command sequence. Besides, here you can open Web pages as it can be done in the Internet Explorer. If you want to include Address bar to the taskbar, follow these instructions:

  • Right-click a blank space on the taskbar.
  • Go to Toolbars and select Address.
  • Open and close the Address bar (simply double-click it).
