hAVING PROBLEMS
Mr. Lee wrote on Dec 29, 2011
I cruised by keygenguru site.Yes I was going to experiment with a key gen. program.Sorry to say it wasn't long beforeI realized I was in trouble. It appears I downloaded a "paccyn" virus with approxamately 6 other backdoor and loader trojans. The heavy part is how it shredded pctools av.It tore apart my running av program pctools, but didn't touch my updated malwarebytes.I scanned an was 3 virus's deep before I realized I was still connected to internet. The tailend virus downloaders detect the removal of front runner virus's and redownloads them behind scan so to speak.I rescanned and picked up the reloads after I disconnected from internet.I suppose a safemode would have done the same, but I wanted real time antics and response fron av programs.Malwarebytes took care of problem of virus, but I still can not download and run pc tools.Perhaps there is still a blocker left active.IIn the am I will download a protected version of pctools and try to run it.I am currently useing a new program called rising antivirus. It appears to recognize certain basic programs as trojans and quarantines them.In the morning I will probably go with another if pctools wont reload.

Btw, when I started up my computer, I believe I chose safe mode with command prompt, may be a different one.. It has a bunch of files and programs I could choose to run or not, I ran all of them until I got the BSOD. I remembered that file name and I chose not to run it the second time, windows started up when I got done. If this helps others then congrats, delete the file, restart ur computer and look the file up to see if you need it, if u do then download it from download.com or if its a .dll file "file.dll" go to http://www.dll-files.com/ and search there for it.
GL on fixing your BSOD problem, My fix only came from luck of choosing whichever it was with safe mode by accident lol. (which is why I don't remember which option).

I don't believe its the file itself, I think the site it loads after clicking the download button has the virus too, simply viewing it causes problems.
I'll guess I'm correct since my virus scanners shields claim the page I try to load when clicking the DL button is a virus, a DL can't even start.
When I click for more details on the report, it says the website I was trying to view was infected.
